Thailand’s National Championship is held yearly at the middle of the year, in June or July. However, this year, Thailand Othello Championship 2025, has become country’s record-breaking with 80 players registered breaking its old record in 2005 with 67 players.
泰国国家锦标赛每年年中（6月或7月）举办。然而，2025年泰国黑白棋锦标赛以80名选手报名创造了该国新纪录，打破了2005年67人参赛的旧纪录。
Thailand had shown its good sign since last year when they came back from 3 years Covid break. With the new organization, leading by Piamrat Kraikokit, former Vice-President and Thai Othello Legend, Thai Othello Organization had changed the way it operates, and Thailand Othello Championship 2024 was kind of success with 52 players registered.
自去年从三年疫情停摆中恢复后，泰国已显现良好势头。在前副主席、泰国黑白棋传奇人物Piamrat Kraikokit领导的新组织架构下，泰国黑白棋联盟改变了运营方式，2024年泰国锦标赛以52人参赛初获成功。
What changes did they make actuallly?
“It’s kind of sad and good story at the same time” said Piamrat, “Because we don’t have sponsor since 2018, now I use my own budget. And with limited budget, I can organize only one tournament a year, and that’s the game changer “. The new leader continued “With one tournament a year, I have a lot of time for preparations. I set the date and opened long lead time for registration, built up story, promoted & posted frequently on my facebook page, had attractive prizes etc”.

“One time a year, it will become like a festival where everyone is waiting & excited to join similar to WOC” explained Piamrat. “Anyway, I don’t mean this should be applied everywhere or I will have only one event a year forever. Once I have more budget, I will do something more in a year, but now I am happy with this” The Thai Legend summarized.
“一年一度的赛事将演变成如同世界黑白棋锦标赛（WOC）般令人翘首以盼的盛会，”Piamrat解释道。”当然，我并非主张各地都应效仿，也不会永远保持一年一赛。待获得更多资金后，我会增加年度赛事数量，但目前对此模式感到满意。”这位泰国传奇人物总结道。
Thailand Othello Championship 2025 will be held on Sunday 8th June 2025 at Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology in Bangkok. It will be an intense competition among Thai top players such as Rujipas, Anon, Sittisak, Charinee etc. Along side with spectacular 45 debutants, 15 women, 28 youths.
2025年泰国黑白棋锦标赛定于2025年6月8日周日在曼谷泰日理工学院举行。赛事不仅将呈现Rujipas、Anon、Sittisak、Charinee等泰国顶尖选手的激烈角逐，更汇聚了45名新人选手、15位女性参赛者和28名青少年选手的亮眼阵容。
